Camping regulations

  1. General conditions
    1. All reservation requests for pitches and accommodations and other agreements made with Camping Um Bierg Tarchamps are subject to these general conditions.
    2. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. The terms and conditions can always be found on the website www.umbierg.lu
    3. Exceptions to these general terms and conditions are possible only if they are agreed upon in writing.
  2. Checking in and out
    1. Pitches and accommodations are available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Upon arrival, guests are required to show their passport or identity card.
    2. Places are assigned by us. Site change is allowed only after consultation and permission.
    3. On the day of departure, you have until 11 a.m. to leave your pitch or accommodation free and clean.
    4. Camping Um Bierg Tarchamps reserves the right to make a final check on the condition and completeness of the pitch or accommodation on the departure date.
    5. If the accommodation is not left clean or in orderly condition, charges may apply.
    6. In case of late arrival or early departure, there will be no refund on rental price and additional costs of the pitch or accommodation.
  3. Reservations
    1. Reservations can only be made by persons 18 years of age or older. Persons who are minors must always be accompanied by an adult present at the time of their stay.
    2. Once your reservation is confirmed, either by booking online or by telephone, you are obliged to pay the deposit amount. This amount is non-refundable. When making your reservation we will take into account, as much as possible, your possible present wishes and preferences regarding the length of your stay, the location and the facilities and services.
    3. If you do not indicate a preference for a pitch or accommodation, Camping Um Bierg Tarchamps is able to change your pitch number or accommodation number, leaving the type of pitch or accommodation unchanged.
    4. Within 14 days after the reservation confirmation you must make a deposit of 30%. This can be done by using the payment link in the booking confirmation or by transferring the amount to LU72 0030 5984 7519 0000 in the name of Leendertse Um Bierg. BIC: BGLLLULL.
      This deposit is non-refundable. You must provide your own necessary insurance.
    5. At least 14 days before arrival, the remaining 70% of the amount must be paid. If the amount is not paid after a reminder and no check-in has taken place on the day of arrival, this will be considered a cancellation. A place is definitively reserved at the time of payment.
    6. In the event of cancellation, the guest will owe the following cancellation fee:
      - In case of cancellation after booking: 30% of the total price
      - Cancellation up to four weeks before the arrival date: 50% of the total price
      - For cancellation one to four weeks before the arrival date: 80% of the total price
      - For cancellation within one week before or on/after the arrival day: the total price
      You must provide your own cancellation insurance or other insurance.
    7. When you book through another website, you have entered into an agreement with another party. For cancellation and possible refunds, you must contact this party.
    8. The reserved place/accommodation will remain reserved for you until 7 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you have not arrived by that time and have not notified us that you will be arriving later, your reservation will be cancelled and no refund will be given. 
    9. In case of earlier departure, we do not give a refund.
    10. A maximum of 6 people are allowed in one camping spot. An additional tent is allowed if it fits on the pitch.
  4. Camping Rules
    1. The campground is private property: you stay here with the owner's permission. We are obliged to be able to prove who is in the campsite at any time of the day.
    2. By staying at our campground, you accept and promise to abide by our agreements. The manager can call you to account and remind you of the agreements.
    3. Safety is our top priority. Therefore, there is a speed limit for all vehicles - including cyclists - of 5 km per hour.
    4. Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., there is a general calm.
    5. We ask that, with respect to noise, you be considerate of other guests. Radios and the like may be used only as long as they do not disturb other guests.
    6. Dogs and other pets are welcome, provided they remain leashed (or stay in a crate or pen). In addition, they are not allowed to stay alone in the campground.
    7. Pets must be walked outside the campground. Should your pet accidentally defecate on the campsite, please clean up.
    8. If you are on top of the site (pitch numbers 43 to 108), the car must be parked in the parking lot and you can only reach the pitch or accommodation by car for packing and unpacking, shopping, etc. All tourist sites are located in the upper area.
    9. At the bottom of the site (permanent sites), only camping sites allow one car to be parked near the pitch.
    10. Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., motorized vehicles are not allowed in the campground. Parking is then allowed in the parking lot near the entrance.
    11. Parking of vehicles on the access and interior roads is not permitted.
    12. We ask cooperation to respect plantings and flower decorations.
    13. It is not permitted to enter the fields surrounding the campground. When hiking or biking, please stay on the paths.
    14. The contents of chemical toilets should only be emptied into the designated drain.
    15. For plastic waste, you can pick up a special garbage bag from us. Residual waste may be placed in an ordinary garbage bag. Paper and glass can also be handed in separately. All garbage can be placed behind the wooden fence on the terrace, under the 'Viaduct'. We will then throw it in the right container for you.
    16. You can drop off old clothes at the Pommerloch shopping center. There is a container on the parking deck for charity.
    17. Bulky household garbage, such as beds, tables, etc. should be placed in the bulky waste at home.
    18. We ask that you leave the plumbing clean after use.
    19. Showers are free, but not unlimited.
    20. Washing clothes or dishes is done in the appropriate bins.
    21. For a fee, you can use a washer and dryer. Ask about this at the reception desk.
    22. It is forbidden to wash cars, campers and caravan in the campsite.
    23. Campfires are not allowed on the campground.
    24. No trenches may be dug on the pitches and nothing may be built.
    25. When using a barbecue, keep extinguishing water within easy reach.
    26. Refueling LPG for domestic use is prohibited and its use is strictly prohibited.
    27. The emergency number in Luxembourg is 112. A first aid kit is located at the reception desk.
    28. Parents are responsible for their children, especially in the pool and playgrounds.
    29. The pool is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Air mattresses, boats and large inflatable objects are prohibited in the pool.
    30. There is no supervision at the pool. Children under the age of 12 are allowed in the pool only under parental supervision.
    31. In extremely dry weather in Luxembourg it is not allowed by law to make open fires or light a barbecue. If in doubt, please consult.
    32. Smoking is prohibited in our accommodations.
  5. Non-compliance with camping rules
    1. Failure to comply with campground rules may result in termination of the rental agreement and the tenant including the rest of the party may be asked to leave the campground.
    2. In case of interim termination of the agreement, the renter must ensure that his pitch or accommodation is left empty and clean, as soon as possible and at the latest within 4 hours.
    3. If this is not done within 4 hours, the owner is entitled to do so at the tenant's expense. The owner is not liable for damages, resulting from or related to the clearing of the pitch or accommodation.
  6. Visitors
    1. Receiving visitors is allowed between 08.00 and 22.00. Visitors must be registered in advance at the reception desk. If visitors stay overnight, they must report to the reception desk on the arrival day and pay the price for the overnight stay. Visitors must park their cars in the parking lot.
  7. Excess and damage
    1. Tenants of accommodation or pitches and visitors enter our premises at their own risk. We do not hold ourselves liable in any way for damages and/or accidents caused by third parties. By entering the grounds, tenants and visitors expressly waive any right to compensation.
    2. Camping Um Bierg Tarchamps is not responsible for occurrences, acts of God, natural disasters or legal decisions that disrupt or prevent your stay.
    3. Damage (to the rented property, or to the grounds) must be reported immediately. Damage costs and any consequential costs may be charged to the person who caused the damage.
